The Lake Annecy loop is one of the most beautiful cycling routes in France. Fully signposted and mostly traffic-free, it alternates between dedicated cycle paths and shared sections.

We recommend starting the lake loop along the East shore: you’ll discover the banks of Veyrier-du-Lac with its beautiful homes, then Menthon-Saint-Bernard with its château.
A downhill stretch will take you to Talloires, where a stop at the harbour lets you take in its stunning bay and the Château de Duingt across the water. The route then continues along the lakeshore, with plenty of opportunities to stop at the beaches along the way.
At the end of the loop, you’ll reach Annecy and its old town — worth a stop before heading back to Hôtel Rivage to return your bike.
